    1. Excellent Rack 5 Star Review

      I purchased the black powder coated version of the dual wakesurf rack. I am very pleased with the quality. I have an illusion X tower on my Malibu, and the mounting HW fit very nicely. Seems at least as sturdy as the original racks. I wish the mounting piece was also powder coated black like the mounting pieces for the tube towers, but as it is between the tower and the rack, you don't really notice. Since I am using this in addition to the stock racks, I did find that the mounting piece had to be put on in a fairly exact orientation so that the racks would not overlap vertically at all. Only bummer is that the swing away of the top rack would hit the bottom one if used. This is more of an issue with the design of the tower than the rack itself. So if you are putting multiple racks on the same side of an illusion X tower, keep that in mind. Neither rack will likely swing into the boat, so you probably don't want the hinge for this rack.

      Racks are nice quality but disappointed that I ordered the 1 5/8" mounts and it came with a much larger mount with a bunch of universal rubber inserts. Got it on the tower tight only to have it spin the first time I used it. Will now need to insert a second layer of rubber inserts and hope it holds. Why ask what size if the mount is all the same with a bunch of rubber inserts?

      Rack is a good fit for my thick doomswell board but the bungee is way too long, i had to wrap it around the rack a few times to get a tight fit
